Shameless
Here are some pics of my little man which I took yesterday at an impromptu photo shoot...in my bedroom! We had just gotten back from running errands and little P was too cute not to take a few snapshots. We had the most fun...along with Princess and Bear too. They were thankful to get in on the action at the end of our shoot. Here is to being 4 1/2 months old, Buddy!

7.10.2010
It was the perfect day. We baptized Patrick Jr. just one day shy of his 4 month birthday at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. With our very most favorite family and friends with us, we welcomed our baby into the Catholic faith. Thank to all of you who made it so memorable. It was the most incredible day and one which Patrick Sr. and I will hold in our hearts for many years to come.
(Drumroll, please...there are 9 million photos so beware!)
Believe it or not, we dressed Baby P in the back of my car, all the while the paparazzi took pictures and video!

Posed in the gown given to him by his grandmothers. Patrick didn't quite fit in the gown which his Daddy's family has worn, so his grandmothers started the new tradition.
Oily forehead smile...
Look at his baby feet! Of course, Mimi and Mommy thought this one booty shot was worthy of a pic...naturally.

4 Months
How has it already been 4 months? Time is flying by...
You are standing with the help of Mommy and Daddy.
You are starting to sleep like your old self again. Well, until Mommy and Daddy started weaning you from the Miracle Blanket. O. M. G.
You jumped to the 95th percentile in height! You are 26 3/4" long. Besides resembling your Daddy's looks, your height is starting to do the same. At least you still have your Mommy's cheeks.
You l-o-v-e Carlos the Crab, a gift from Mimi. Short of your hands, it is your favorite "paci" to suck on.
Mommy can no longer call you a brunette. Your new "hairs" are so blonde leaving only your baby hair which is left (a mohawk, believe it or not) brown.
You are SUCH a happy baby. We just thought that you kept us entertained until now. You flash your gummy grin 9000 times daily and have even laughed out loud a few times which is seriously the sweetest sound. Someday, we will catch it on video! And you are quite a ham when you are in front of guests.
You continue to roll from side to side but have not attempted to roll over again since its debut last month.
You continue to be an absolute angel in church. We shall see how long it lasts... :)
You were baptized and did so well - no crying at all. You only "talked" once throughout the whole service.
Tummy Time is no longer lounging time. You actually really like to be on your tummy... and play on your playmat.
Mommy and Daddy got smart and moved the swing into the kitchen. Apparently the change of scenery has changed your mind about the swing. You LOVE it. You have "cocktails" with us now when we cook. Haha.
Professional chef, personal assistant and childcare provider. That's me...your Mommy. I wish I were as clever to have come up with those descriptors but clever I am not. I recently read that and thought it was fitting, among others!
We still have such fun together during the day. Most of our days consist of playtime, naps, MEALTIME, and outings with friends. Occasionally we go on walks but until Mommy can get her act together in the early am, we will probably be on a walk strike for awhile longer due to the Texas heat.
Daddy lovingly 'calls ahead' to "reserve a table for one" before your mealtimes...which seem to still be as consistent as they were every 2 hours at 1 month, 2 months, 3 months and now 4 months! Although you have had more regularly occurring 3 hour stints between nursing and even 4 hours if you are napping. Thank heavens this is only your MO for daytime and not nighttime!
Your days usually start around 645 or 7 am with your naps at 830, Noon and 330 ish. Bedtime is typically between 630 and 830, depending on your naptimes. We are currently working on getting one set.
One day we were driving down the road and I realized that you weren't crying from being stopped at a light. So at the next "test" slash red light, I waited. And waited. And no crying! The angels are singing on high. I think I may have been on the phone (shh) with Mimi or Auntie Christy and totally cut them off mid-sentence when I realized this revelation. :)
I have now noticed that your carrier friends (toys) are quite entertaining to you. So many times I glance back to see that you are playing with them. (And it is so hard for Mommy not to stare at you while driving because you are just so darn cute.)
You are really noticing the dogs (our girls) now. And they notice you! They love, love you and guard you like a hawk. If you are crying, they come "tell" me. If you have "friends" over, they park themselves next to you. End of story. Soon, I think Daddy and I will have to say, "leave the girls alone, Patrick!" instead of the other way around now.
I wonder how old you will be when you are reading this in your scrapbook. Just thinking about that makes me smile a big smile...and get teary all at once. You truly make the world go round in our house. You are a delight and a treasure. I wish for all of your dreams to come true and that you may love like Daddy and I love each other...and you. I am so proud to be your Mommy. Thank you for being YOU.

My Girls
Ah...girlfriend trips. They're always packed with good times...and wine! :) Christy, Megs and I spent a little time together in the heart of Oklahoma...in Bricktown. We lived it up, girlfriend style, at our chic hotel, a tucked away wine bar and even the Wormy Dog for old times sake.
This was also a first for Christy and I since it was the first night that we had been away from our babies, Finley and Patrick. I definitely missed my sweet petunia but knew that he was having just as much fun as I was with his Daddy, Grandma and Auntie Sophia. And once I was back at home, my sweetie gave me a grin the size of Texas to welcome his mama home.
It was the best 24 hours spent with my best friends. Thanks for the memories, Ladies.

Twice as Nice
We just had the best week with "the Moms" and Miss Sophia. In honor of our newest tradition, Patrick and I hosted our moms and Sophia for our 2nd annual "girls trip"...plus one very special baby boy. Aunt Sophia kicked off the trip by flying SOLO to Dallas to spend a couple of days before the moms arrived. She did beautifully and I am so impressed with her confidence.
We had an action-packed week together. Ceramics, Yogurtland, shopping, Yogurtland, swimming, Yogurtland, making crafts, Yogurtland, walks, a surprise visit from brother Marty and even a dentist appointment for this mommy! As a special treat, the moms and Sophia babysat Patrick Jr. while the hubby and I had date night. With our pockets full and with strict orders to come back only after the baby was in bed, we definitely enjoyed our night on the town! :)
The moms kept our house clean, laundry done and tummies happy...yet again. Thank you, thank you, thank you. This trip was nothing short of fabulousness with you all here.
