while mimi was here, she and I spent a couple of hours one night making baby food! let's just say that i l.o.v.e. my food processor because it makes making baby food a cinch! on our list that night were: pears, peaches, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, peas and zucchini. in the throws of 'slaving away' i forgot to take pics but here are a few after the fact. mmm...

the patch
we went to owens farm to visit the pumpkin patch last weekend. baby p had no clue where we were but he didn't mind...he liked eating the hay. i thought it was hilarious and tried snapping photos while daddy p thought otherwise. who knew that i would be the relaxed one! :)
we had a great time with our little guy. i just wish that daddy would have let us try on the halloween costume bc, seriously, baby patrick would have looked PRICELESS in the sea of pumpkins in his costume. soon enough.
here is a little look of our afternoon at the patch.
Race Day
our sweet family celebrated breast cancer awareness last weekend. as always, it was a moving morning, but especially so as i walked with my family of 3 this year. baby patrick did so great and even met new friend stella kate. too bad she's "an older woman." oh well, he has eyes for a girl up north anyway...

My First Toof
oh my! we have a tooth...and he loves to use it. with each bite of food, he makes sure to drag his tooth along the spoon and smiles. go figure. he sprouted this beaute on his 7 month birthday, october 11. happy milestone, baby p.
and a special nod to mamacita sarah bc i seriously captured this shot the very first time we tried this morning! let's give thanks to God bc it was divine intervention for sure.
while we're at it...let's check out 'my first spider bite' that baby woke up with this am! his poor left eye was swollen but at least it's making progress deflating. here is a shot of his eye and one just because he is cute in his halloween pj's.

7 Month Wonder
You are quite a handful of smiles, giggles, hugs, drama, love and appetite! Who knew that 7 months would bring such joy and happiness in our lives? Here are a few fun facts about you at your 7 month marker.
October, 11 was a BIG DAY! You cut your very first tooth (your bottom left.) You are currently in the process of debuting its mate (your bottom right tooth.)
You lick your lips after most bites of food. Too cute.
Mimi taught you to high 5. We are so impressed.
You wave. CONSTANTLY. At first, it was very delayed and we weren't sure if you quite understood what you were doing, but we were so wrong. You knew all along and now have perfected waving.
You have said "dada," "ma," "dog" and "baba". PLEASE NOTE: you said "mom" first...even if it was by chance that you strung the syllables together. Same goes for these other words that you "say."
Your favorite pastime is COUGHING. Hands down, you love it.
You love to make clicking sounds with your mouth...and roll your tongue against your bottom lip. Half the time I look over at you thinking there's something in there!
Feeding you is entertaining. Without fail, you grab Mommy's hair and hold on for dear life.
You fall asleep every night during your last feeding. In your crib, you sleep with your hands behind your head like you're enjoying a warm summer day.
You smile in your sleep.
You are Mr. Personality...happy or mad!
You are still Mr. On The Go which is why I think you have such a fit when you lie on your changing pad for diaper or clothing changes. Sometimes I think the sky is falling by the way you act.
You love your baby laptop and play with it all the time.
Your favorite foods:
sweet potatoes
butternut squash
banana rice "smoothie"
Some Firsts:
Spent a whole week with Mimi while Mommy and Daddy were on vacation
Visited the Pumpkin Patch
Race for the Cure
You LOVE LOVE LOVE mirrors, your doggies and walks in your stroller.
You had a rough patch of interrupted night sleep...but are back to your dear old self again. You go to bed between 630 and 7pm and are up around 730-8pm You take a mid morning nap and one about 1-2 pm.
You eat 3 meals a day and nurse the rest of the time.
We love you so much and are so glad that you are ours. Thank you for the best 7 months of our lives.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
So Happy Together
Sweet Megs and Lester are married! And thanks to their dutiful planning, it was absolutely flawless. To be sitting on a beach...at sunset...surrounded by the ones you love and watching your best friends get married has got to be at the top of the list of being "memorable." Megan was beautiful, beautiful, as was the whole wedding...and week! We are so grateful to have shared in such a special moment in their lives. Life is good and especially so thanks to the friendships that make up life's moments.
Reunited

Oh how we love our sweet muffin! The past week has been extra-special with him because Patrick Sr. and I just got back from Maroma Beach, Mexico. I really don't think Baby P even knew we were gone because he was ALL ABOUT his Mimi who "Mimisat" him. And let me just tell you that you, too, would want to be "Mimisat" because she is just that good. At everything.
We came home to an impeccable house, the most scrumptious dinner and a perfectly content baby...well, that is until he saw us! I guess his bubble burst when he realized that we had been gone for a week. Either that or the fact that dinnertime was looming and he was one hungry baby boy. Nonetheless, it was a little slice of heaven to be reunited with our little bambino who, by the way, learned a few new tricks while we were gone: can high 5, says "dada" and CUT HIS FIRST TOOTH (on his 7 month birthday, thank you very much!)
And thanks to mi madre for keeping our tiniest treasure happy, safe and well-loved while we were gone. Thanks to her, "we" (okay...ME) were able to relax and enjoy each other and our best friends as they got married.
To my Mommy...
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. Our lives are better because you are in them. Our baby is blessed to have you as his Mimi. And I am the luckiest daughter on earth. Period.
