2 Men and a Baby

Baby P had his very first "boys night" with Daddy and Uncle Ryan while Mommy celebrated Auntie Megs recently. These boys had a great time...skyping with gparents, watching football and just being BOYS in their game day best. Here's to Daddy's parenting skills...we love you!

after patrick's recent 6 month check, this mommy discovered that her baby has found a new favorite pastime..."snacking" on bandaids. i happened to glance over at my little guy after he had helped himself to 1 (of 4) bandaids from his recent pedi visit. let's just say that i only wish to have captured this priceless moment on film. next time? not if this mommy can help it! no eating bandaids, baby.

I've Got Friends

Not too long ago, Ryan celebrated a birthday and we helped him ring it in at dinner before his birthday party. And by judging from the photos, one would never guess that Patrick Sr. and I were even there bc strangely, we weren't in any! I guess the photographer was too excited that she was OUT to even remember to pose for any photos. Next time.

happy wedding dear somer bummer! we recently celebrated somer and jason's nuptials :) and hosted a shower reception at the country club. it was such an awesome party and especially because we were all together. we missed tara and karen though!

"See you later!" That's what my son was thinking when he discovered the protective paper on the exam table at the pedi's office recently. Move over Sofie...there's a new game in town.

sweet baby p looooves to 'blow bubbles' as of yesterday! as if eating weren't entertainment enough, we have a new favorite pastime. disclaimer: please be forgiving as mommy is an amateur filmmaker. too, if you see the pool float near the patio door...that's where it's supposed to go! :) haha.

Owie!

Every once in awhile, Mommy misses the target when she trims baby's nails. This was one of those times. At least Patrick Jr. didn't even notice! And frankly, I wouldn't have either had it not been broadcast on his cream sheets and blanket. Oopsie daisy. Mommy sorry.

And Now For My Next Trick...

Patrick Jr. is officially eating. At first I was a little hesitant because with this new milestone, comes added responsibility for Mommy. Although after a week of eating rice cereal, it has become one of my favorite parts of our day. And who knew eating could provoke such a following? Both Poppy and Mimi have Skyped during baby's dinner to watch the main event.

Here's a little recap of our last week...

Day 1: A little hesitant about the whole food-in-mouth-and-swallow concept but overall a successful first attempt at eating...despite Mommy and Daddy needing a bit of practice!

Day 2 to present: Baby LOVES food. Reaches for the bowl and if we aren't fast enough, his mouth finds its way to the bowl!

This "food thing" is an exciting time around our house. I am gearing up for some baby food making and overall messier meal times...but it's all going to be worth it! We are pumped for food! :)
