You are making growling sounds when you play. It is SO cute.
You debuted your latest trick: SITTING. (We are praying that you continue this for our family photos in just a couple of weeks!) We were at a playdate at the Ewing's house and apparently you wanted to be like Clay...so you started to sit. I was so surprised and couldn't believe that the one date I didn't bring my camera, you would debut such a trick! Fortunately Leah jumped to the rescue and we have some candids to celebrate your big moment.
Your appetite is still consistent: every 2 hours during the day.
You are EATING rice cereal as of the last week...and loving it! Mommy and Daddy are newbies in terms of feeding babies but you are breaking us in nicely. You seem to be patient - most times - and completely "get" the whole spoon to mouth thing. You are a pro!
Hopefully only momentarily you have boycotted naps! :) They are a work in progress and progress is what you are making as of lately. PRAISE THE LORD. Bedtime is at 730 and you rise at 645/7 am with an early morning snack around 430.
Your favorite toys: excersaucer, "Carlos" the crab, your baby-friendly photo album book, wrist rattle and Sofie the Giraffe. These are all staples when we are on the go.
Your favorite activities: BATHTIME WITH DADDY. Walks...but only lately thanks to the cool-er weather. Playdates with new friends. (You are mesmerized by older kiddos!!!) Outdoors and being "on the go." (Can I tell you what a performer you are when we are out and about?!)
Your giggle is the sweetest sound. (Almost as sweet as listening to you breathe when you sleep.) When Bear - dare I say - licks your hands or face, stop the train because you are a giggle machine.
You pretty much love to be the center of attention and if you are not "into" entertaining yourself like say when Mommy is trying to vacuum, all hell breaks loose. Witness a recent bout of this behavior. Let's just say...you won.
You could be a guest star in Riverdance because you seriously are a stomping machine. LOVE IT.
You took your very first plane ride to North Carolina and did beautifully! Not a peep...well, unless you count the "man-made" accident with the overhead bin. Sorry, little guy. But I swear, other than that you were ah-mazing both trips!
You still love to read and even attempted to eat the pages of Daddy's Sports Illustrated when he read to you last night. I would like to think it's because you just can't get enough of READING. So smart are you!
Daddy says: "Buddy, how are you so cute?!" almost every day.
Mommy says: "You are the most handsome boy ever!"
And we both give you a million and one kisses every. day. We love you, Mr. 6 Months.
