Daddy and Me

The Patricks made an appearance at the Dallas Zoo yesterday for a little daddy and me time. Mr. P made nice with the animals he visited as he greeted each with a roar, hiss or snort, to name a few. When they got home, my little one ran in practically roaring, but most certainly when I asked him to tell me the sound of his favorite animal. Too precious.

Christmas Cuties

Look at these cousins dressed in their Christmas finest. We got them together pre-Christmas for a little photo shoot to memorialize their cuteness. SERIOUSLY. Love me some Christmas cousins...

Choo-Choo!

All Aboard! My little man had a ball when we took a ride on the Polar Express train in Grapevine. We went with his best buddy Kolt and the boys didn't really know what to expect most of the time, but neither did the mommies! Between visits from Santa, a singing elf and a being on a moving train, I think my child was on system overload. But since this is the 'season of trains,' it's only fitting that he got to experience the real deal. (More to come on his OBSESSION with trains.) He and Kolt had a great time dancing in their seats, calling out to the cows we passed along the ride and just being in their pj's. It was great to watch them enjoy such a big boy adventure. Now Mommy hears "choo-choo" anytime we see or talk or play with trains.

Nothing like a John Deere

Thanks to his Godparents, Little Patrick has happily added a lawn mower to his ever-growing favorites collection. For the first few days, he wouldn't move a muscle without it. And, like the suitcase, it has taken many rides in the car (on his lap of course) and shared more than its share of meals, snacks and Wild Kratts shows with the little guy. I'm quite sure that thanks to the fresh cut blades of grass and the talking oil and gas man, that it's going to be a favorite for awhile.

GodBaby

Just take a look at our sweet Godchild, Mr. Robert Riley! Have you ever seen anyone as precious? He was recently baptized and is officially part of the crew as I like to say. The ceremony was extra special thanks to Riley's Uncle - Father Harry - who performed it. Patrick Sr. and I are so honored to play such a special role in his life. Our Sweet Godbaby has already left such a huge impression on our hearts. Congratulations, Sweet One!

Toesie Woesie

My sweet child...fortunately this only lasted for a short while but thankfully we captured your flexibility on film!

Santa Baby

I say that Patrick has never met a stranger...and it's true! Santa included, my little guy loves to meet and greet the masses. (I wonder where he gets it from?!) We went to Neiman Marcus Downtown again this year to see the big guy. He is very popular thus the line we waited in but it was all worth it thanks to Mommy's precious pictures. Grandparents, enjoy...

Oh Christmas Tree

There's something about kiddies and the Christmas season that makes my heart sing! We met some of our favorite friends at the Galleria for lunch and a few photos, naturally. Just look at how precious these 3 are! And Little P loved the attention from the older ladies...he just soaked it in.

The Christmas I Was Small

Thank you to Schreiber because Mr. P gifted us with THE most precious little boy ornament in the world: his handprint. And my boy genius knew exactly what to do with it when I unwrapped it at home. He walked me over to the Christmas tree and together we placed it on a branch. The cutest thing he does is "high five" it when he walks by. (Although it has migrated to the northern limbs since he later decided it was fun to manhandle.) With tears in my eyes, I read the back of the ornament:
"This is an ornament
to hang upon the tree
So when I'm BIG
we'll all recall
The Christmas I was
small"

My First Nativity

Thanks to his Nonni, Little P is the proud recipient of his very first nativity set. We LOVE it!! He got to open piece by piece - along with a few other "December 1st treats" from Mimi - and had a ball doing it. It's quickly become a favorite of Mr. P - he is always carrying around a piece, sitting ON his little boy table 'holding' pieces and pushing the button where Baby Jesus sits for the Away in the Manager to play. Too sweet.
