Patrick and I spent Christmas in Oklahoma this year…along with the blizzard of ‘99! :) Fortunately, we made it there before the storm but unfortunately my brother and sister in law Juli didn’t! They had to spend their first married Christmas in Ardmore at the Candlewood Inn hotel bc Highway 35 SHUT DOWN, along with the rest of Oklahoma. Seriously. We were so sad that they weren’t able to spend Christmas with us. Although Juli said that Santa did visit and brought pop tarts and a toothbrush! And while they were stranded in southern Oklahoma, we were snowed in at Ridgevale Estates. I know someone (ahem, Patrick) and his pack (aka Princess and Bear) who enjoyed every minute of our white Christmas though! Despite the weather and missing being with the North Carolina clan, we enjoyed celebrating with my family. We certainly enjoyed being spoiled with attention, awesome food and presies. But our biggest gifts of all are being married, expecting our little arrival of baby and being with our family.
Life is good.
Princess looking especially Christmasie in a saweet collar. And, a cute pic of mom and me before Christmas Eve mass, minus our dresses. We had to dress warmly bc of the storm!
Christmas Morning
More snow…and Cookie and Princess enjoying Christmas morning.
Someone had too much fun…PRINCESS! I promise that she posed herself like this. I think digging into her stocking wore her out. And, another cute pic of mom and me.
Ah, so sweet: our first Christmas pic. Grandma Theo opening her afghan which mom made.
Dad and Patrick…and Patrick’s snow beer cooler.
Bear clearly couldn’t decide between her two favorite new toys. The ultimate stare-down between Cookie and Bear.
