To say that you are a welcomed addition to our family is quite an understatement. Our family has grown to 3 with your very special arrival. Our hearts swell with each breath you take. I could literally stare at you for hours and never get bored. And most days, that's just what I do! It's definitely been hard to share you because all Mommy wants to do is hold you.
Our days consist of eating, sleeping...and more eating and sleeping. You absolutely adore to be held at. all. times. This, of course, does not bother me in the slightest and that's what we do. We sit. And sometimes Mommy lets Mimi or Daddy hold you. :)
You have quickly decided that diaper or clothing changes are not welcome. And with each one, your cry tears my heart apart. Your chin quivers, your eyes are shut so tight and your cry is so sad!
You are a hungry little guy eating every 2 hours, if not sooner, and around the clock. Sleeping is a thing of the past for your Mommy and Daddy! :) Fortunately Mimi is taking care of Mommy and you in the mornings so Mommy can get some much-needed rest.
You "smile" occasionally although I have been told that it is not a "true" smile. Regardless, you are the most handsome boy ever.
You don't seem to notice when the dogs bark, which is beyond me considering Bear's bark is louder than a car horn!
Even though you are a growing boy, your teeny 0-3 month clothes are too big so Mimi stocked your dresser with some newborn essentials. Thankfully, you have many 'o outfit thanks to a beautiful concept called mix and match. Mimi has great taste! Soon, your little self will start to fill out the pants because you are still so tiny!
Not only do you love to be held but you love to be walked around too. We thought you would like the swing, so Daddy bought one but after Day 1, you decided otherwise.
You like to nap in the Moses basket while we are in the den. It is also your 'house,'as Daddy calls it, when we eat dinner but oddly you seem to know the minute we sit down and inevitably Mimi holds you during dinner. Such a rough life... :)
Our lives have been forever changed...and we wouldn't have it any other way. We are so thankful for you, our gift, and I thank God each time I look at you. Really, I do.
Daddy holding you at 2 am the "day" you were born.
Mommy holding you the next morning and loving every minute.
The man who made it all happen: Dr. Oliver.
