2 Months

My Sweet Baby Boy...you are growing so fast! Just yesterday we were buying itsy bitty clothing because none of your 0-3 m0nth clothes fit and, now, we are packing away those gowns, pants and onesies. Time is flying by. So much in fact that Mommy just realized that she didn't even recap Month One!

Two months with you in our lives has brought your Daddy and me such great joy and happiness. We just thought life was fabulous before you came along. You have truly made our family complete and we look forward to each new day with you.

Here are some things about you at 2 months...

You have found your sweet smile and use it all the time! Each time Mommy plays peek-a-boo, you grin from ear to ear kicking your legs and waving your arms.

You love, love to "talk" all day long. (I wonder where you get it from?!) Your coos are music to our ears and you seem to have so much to say. Like when Daddy reads to you, I can hear you from across the house!

The swing is starting to become enjoyable for you although it is more in spurts vs any length of time. (...which is incredibly odd considering you are a 'man of motion!') Usually you will only agree to being in it if your Daddy is playing with you.

You have also found your hands. They are constantly in your mouth and keep you entertained for what seems like hours. You l-o-v-e love your changing pad. In fact, both Mommy and Daddy spend a lot of time entertaining you while you are lounging on it. We sing, talk, listen to music, play peek-a-boo and patticake and so much more.

You have also started our favorite trend of sleeping 6 and 7 hour stretches at night! Although sometimes you go to bed really early and still wake Mommy up earlier than the sun but you are turning out to be a really good sleeper. Hallelujah!

You have long periods of alert time. Mommy's favorite time with you is right when we wake up in the morning. You are so happy and your eyes are wide open, taking everything in. Sometimes we lounge in bed 'talking' and these are the best moments.

Bath time with Daddy...enough said. You LOVE it.

You are still fascinated by windows, lights, ceiling fans and the hair dryer. And the dogs' barking doesn't phase you. Praise Him.

You are quite the jet setter. You took your first car trip when we went to Oklahoma for your Sip 'n See shower...and you did beautifully!

You still have a hefty appetite and are growing like a weed. Your legs are long like your Daddy's and you have the most perfect milk belly after each time you eat. I could just eat you up!

Just like in Mommy's belly, you have hiccups all. the. time. Besides your coos, it's the sweetest sound.

You DO NOT like dirty diapers or being in a car which is stopped at a light. End of story.

Our days are spent taking walks, playing, daily outings around town and lounging around (but don't tell Daddy!) And just sometimes you will let Mommy get some housework done. Just sometimes...but I certainly don't mind. Soon, I will have to put you down so you can learn how to crawl...

You are Mommy and Daddy's precious gift from God and we love you so much.
